Oh boy. This is a tough post to write.
As was decided a month ago here: https://openclubsandwich.forumotion.com/game-talk-and-stuff-f1/25-days-to-mixed-nationals-t41.htm we have to cap the numbers of people playing for OCS this Saturday, for several reasons, mainly:
-Too big a squad will not gel together
-To give everyone a fair amount of game time
-To be fair to those who made it out to every or almost every training session
-We don't want to play like a pick-up team, which would happen if a large squad unused to playing together was sent.
And so a cap on the numbers playing has been fixed.
With regards to girls, there is no fair list of who made the most training sessions as so many girls were recruited late. To the best of my knowledge the list of girls playing this Saturday

Regarding the lads, I haven't got the exact numbers here (But Orgy has them if anyone wants them) of who made how many sessions but this list is in order, from most to least, of the number of training sessions and pick ups attended in the last 5 weeks.

4.Casian
5.Spewey
6.Jasian
7.Tom
8.Sticky
Trip (not around Saturday)
9.Sterile

It's unfair to those who have made it out to rockfield for training every week to play a squad of 14 lads for 4 spaces. Therefore although it kills both of us to do it myself and Orgy have heeded the advice offered to us and decided that we should cap the squad numbers at 9 lads. I'm sorry guys, I know that OCS was founded to give everyone a chance to get to play more ultimate and that capping numbers contradicts this but it had to be done to be fair to everyone.
If anyone wants to discuss these lists give myself or Orgy a buzz or e-mail please, neither of us want to be bossy or domineering but we just figured that this squad will be able to compete at the very best level that we can offer to irish ultimate this year, working on the tactics covered in training over the last few weeks.
That's everything! Sorry about the long-windedness but I wanted everything to be as clear as possible!
