training and pick ups

ok here is the low down for the next few weeks.

training on fridays will start the first week after open varsities. because there will be longer days we can push the pick up matchs to a later time , say 4 or so. this way we will be able to train before the games and the work on what we did in the match.

because of a new friday training for DCU myself and the other DCU players of OCS will not be able to make friday pick ups, we now need to make sure that there are numbers for the pickup games, please let me know if you can make it so that we know(before friday would be nice) if we have to call it off.

some of us are trying to set up a shin dig for OCS players so that everyone can get to know each other, this is still a work in progress so don't ask questions about it when we know you'll know.

since we were unable to have a training session last sunday were were unable to have a vote on captaincy. this vote will go ahead at the end of training. anyone can go for it. if your going for it try get as much input in training as possibe, i will remain as acting captain until the vote. please make training as this needs to be a fare vote.

i beleave that in the near future mandy(team president) is planing on seting up more friendlys against other teams. this will be decided and we will let you all know.

tell anyone who is not signed on to the forum to do so as possible, it makes getting new news out there faster.

Tallaght players cant make fridays as well cos of new training times as well. we dont finish training till 6 so training would be impossible for us to make as well as pick up.

Iam up for that social. Where ever or whenever. It's all good.

I think Karl Ma Coy would like to play for us. He played against jabba with us. The mad proteen shake driven maniac from tallaght. Might be a good addition to the team.

No bagel is also good. That and the rings that have whistles on tem,hahah.

Greetings.

I'm going away this weekend, so I'm not going to make it to anything. My appologies.

Right. I suggest that each member of OCS texts someone in frisbee about the pick up and encourages them to come to pick up, this way Orgy will have a better idea of numbers, if there's less than 6 confirmed people heading out then it makes sense to cancel the game so that we're not wasting people's time.

Secondly, is training closed training? Same thing with numbers stands, please post up or text someone if you can go. If at all possible I encourge people to go to training, OCS will function far better as a unit if everyone has the same ideas in their heads regarding plays and tactics. Training will cover drills for both handlers and cutters.

In an unrealated side-note, I plan on doing a proper scout of the beaches over on Achill while I'm there, see if any of them are suitable for some kind of a beach ultimate training weekend...

What is with every team putting training on fridays??

I have work 9-5, mon-fri so no DIT or OCS training for me!!
